Scott
Cordes is president of Country Hedging,
Inc., the full-service commodity brokerage
subsidiary of CHS Inc. Country Hedging
provides risk management/marketing
programs to producers and commercial
businesses through more than 60 branch
offices across the Eastern Corn Belt,
Midwest and Pacific Northwest.
Scott
has spent nearly 20 years in the grain
business, including five with CHS
Milling in wheat procurement. He was
appointed to his current position
in 2000. Scott began his career with
Continental Grain, worldwide trading
company of agricultural commodities,
after receiving his Bachelor of Science
degree in Agricultural Economics from
the University of Minnesota. He is
a native of Minnesota and grew up
on a dairy/crop farm 60 miles south
of St. Paul. He is currently a member
of the National Grain and Feed Association.
Scott
currently holds the Futures Commission
Merchants seat on the Minneapolis
Grain Exchange Board of Directors.
He also serves on the board of directors
of the National Futures Association,
the premier provider of regulatory
programs that safeguard the integrity
of the derivatives markets.
